We’re investing to upgrade our water network in the Chipstead Park area of Sevenoaks.

The water pipes in this area have burst four times in the last four years. This has meant low water pressure and sometimes no water for residents.

We’re sorry this has happened – it’s not acceptable. We’re always working to reduce the number of leaks and bursts we have. With this in mind, we’re going to be making some improvements to our water network.

What’s going to happen and when?

We’re going to replace around 600 metres of water mains in Chipstead Park between Number 6 and Number 70 and for the length of Chipstead Park Close.

We’ll be starting work on Monday, 13 October. Our teams will work weekdays and some Saturday mornings, if required.

We expect the work to take approximately four months. We’ll do our best to get the work done sooner if we can.

How will this affect residents?

We’re sorry for the disruption this work is going to cause – we know it’s inconvenient. We’ll do our absolute best to keep it to a minimum.

Getting to and from properties

Residents will be able to get to and from their home or business during this work. However, there may be a short wait if we’re working directly outside the entrance to their property, just while our team makes the area safe to get by.

The work we’ll be doing

We will be working on the road along Chipstead Park and Chipstead Park Close.

We’ll only work on short sections of the road at a time, using open cut trenching. We’ll need to transfer more than 60 customer service pipes to the new pipework and we’ll return the road to a safe and driveable condition when we’ve completed our work.

Project updates

We’ll provide regular updates on this web page as our work progresses.
