Enhancements are being made to the water supply network in Holborough in a £100,000 investment.
Fresh drinking water supplier South East Water will be installing new equipment, including a meter and pressure release valve, to the network in the verge along the A228, between Halling and the Peter’s Bridge roundabout, in a project due to take five weeks. Initial sections of the work were undertaken in June, with the remaining work now scheduled to begin on Monday 30 October.
Jeremy Dufour, Project Manager for South East Water, said: “Adding this new equipment to the network in Holborough is a vital project to ensure that there is sufficient flow of water to the area and that pressure can be maintained as the community grows. By carrying out this work now, we’ll be securing the supply of our top-quality drinking water both now and in the future.
“We’re aiming to keep the work to the verge, but we may need to close one lane on the approach to the roundabout if required to ensure the safety of the public, motorists and the company’s workforce.”
