South East Water prices for 2021/22

South East Water has confirmed the average household will pay £215 a year for their tap water supply from 1 April.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing and the difficulties it has brought for many households, South East Water has been focusing on keeping its vital services running and supporting customers with its Priority Services Register.

Customer Services Director, Tanya Sephton, said: “It has undoubtedly been a very tough year for everyone and we have been working throughout to make sure our customers continue to receive excellent service from us while ensuring our key workers remain safe.

“Our Priority Services Register is designed for customers who may need a helping hand due to age, ill health disability, mental health problems or language barriers. It means we can provide extra support and respond quickly if needed, for example in the event of a burst water main or other emergency. It’s quick, easy and free to sign up to and provides peace of mind for customers and their families.

“The average bill works out at 59 pence per day for all the water supplied to the home for drinking, cooking, cleaning, gardening and of course the extra hand-washing we know is so important at this time.

“We’ve a friendly, caring team based locally here in the south east who are specially trained to provide advice for anyone if they have difficulties paying.

“We also encourage anyone worried about their bill to contact us as soon as possible and we’ll help find the right options for them, which could be advice and water saving devices to help reduce use in the family, or finding the right tariff for their circumstances.

South East Water supplies drinking water to homes across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire to 2.2 million people.
